Patros for the second time "Brand of the Century"

Patros, the white cheese brand of Hochland Deutschland GmbH and the market leader in this segment, has been honored with the title "Brand of the Century". It is one of 200 "brands with a lighthouse character", which were included in the book "German Standards - Brands of the Century 2019". Each brand is exemplary for a product genre – from “Abtei” for natural medicine to Zeppelin for the Zeppelin airship.

Patros was the first brand in the young segment of feta and brine cheese in Germany in the early 1990s. Patros thus takes on a pioneering role, as it was the first to develop this category of cheese on the German market.

Today, the feta segment is firmly established: 60 percent of German households use this type of cheese. And Patros is the market leader in this segment. All this is honored by the "Brands of the Century" award, which Patros has received for the second time since 2012.

The prize was handed over on the occasion of the German Business Forum in Frankfurt/Main. Since 2002, Florian Langenscheidt has been publishing an encyclopedia of major German brands under the title "Brands of the Century", published every three years. Since this year, Tempus Corporate GmbH has been producing the illustrated book, a subsidiary of the ZEIT publishing house.
